Please be cautious when doing business with this company if you plan to take your vehicle there for repairs. I went to this location for a wheel alignment with a scheduled appointment. Upon arrival, they informed me that the service would take several hours and requested that I leave my car with them. I agreed and dropped off the vehicle. Later, they called me and claimed that my car had a broken coil spring. When I asked if they could proceed with just the alignment, they insisted that the coil spring had to be replaced first. I called and asked if they had any loaner cars so I could go back to work and they said yes. When I got there he informed me I need to put down a $200.00 deposit which will be applied to the service. I agreed to it, I told him what I needed done because I had the same issue 6 months ago on the passenger side wheel bearing. He did not inform me of the $93.50 diagnostic fee which I didn't see till I looked at the bill. He also told me how much it would cost to change all the fluids and that they were seeping in some areas and his quote for that was an additional $4600. I took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. They did a vehicle inspection and recommended a few items to take care of. I approved all except replacing the air filter which I could do for myself for $18. When I went to pick up my car, they had gone ahead and changed the air filter and wanted to charge me $75. They ended up taking off $30 but $45 for an air filter that I could do myself is a rip off. As a woman, I felt taken advantage of. They are a block from my house so very convenient but I won’t be returning out of pure principal.

Came here after going to another auto service. tried to tell me my lower ball joint was loose and I couldn’t get my alignment done and was charged for an inspection fee. Prior I had a mechanic checked it and it wasn’t and then came to Honest1 Auto Care for a 2nd opinion and they said everything was tight and nothing was loose and they even showed me and got my alignment done. They couldn’t believe it as well as I that Maplewood Auto care lied to me about my lower ball joint and tried to get me to replace it for $600 with alignment. I used to have a five star rating for this business, but their service quality has really declined over the last year. The front office staff are unprofessional and mechanics are obviously looking for issues. I came in for a tire repair and it took over an hour when I had an appointment. While sitting waiting for the repair, a mechanic came in with the air filter and had to be told that it was fine. Had I not been there, who knows. Six months ago, I was here for an oil change and asked for them to do a regular assessment. They totally missed huge things as well as tire issues. Overall, this is not a business I feel that I can trust with my business.
